DIY Hair Oil: Naptural85 Inspired

When I started my journey, I was all for DIYing. I had very high aspirations for how much I was going to make for myself. There were going to be shampoos, conditioners, leave ins, deep conditioners, gels. I was going to do it all.

A Pictorial: Clay Wash Day (Part 2) – LCO

You will have noticed I started telling you about this Clay Wash Day last week (head on back over if you’d like) but here’s the best bit…what it looked like after all the clays were washed out. It’s my favourite bit anyway!

A Pictorial: Clay Wash Day

I only use Bentonite Clay every 4 weeks to cleanse my hair but I genuinely look forward to that particular wash day. If Bentonite was a person, I would gush about them all day. I was stocking up on clay and I was trying to make an order up to a certain amount on the Anita Grant website and so I decided to try out the Rhassoul Deep Condish and Double Cream as well.Β  And when it was time to bring the Bentonite out again, I thought, why not pair it with the Rhassoul and see what happens?

Wash Day Notes: Sometime From October 2020

So it was a bit optimistic to think that I would be able to do a blog post about my wash days every few weeks. Yea…no, that’s not going to happen. This feature will definitely be a once in a while sort of thing. But this one is kind of special. Because I’m using generic shampoo and conditioner, or more specifically, gift set Shampoo and Conditioner. Extra special due to it’s mundanity. Enter Baylis & Harding. Impromptu Trim August 2020

I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos of late. A lot! I think I may be slightly obsessed. The amount of natural hair and skincare content is overwhelming and amazing at the same time. Such things as how other people have grown their type 4 hair long. Turmeric Masks for hyperpigmentation. Reviews of products Instagram shoves down your throat like – Nuud deodorant and EZ Detangler brushes. Plus, general YouTube tea and drama. I’ve been watching so much but also taking in a fair bit of knowledge too. It is actually mostly educational…what I watch anyway. However, all of…

Twist Out 2020: The Finished Product

Hello again! And yes I am still banging on about my Twist Out (part one) but here we get to the Finished Product! Just a quick disclaimer before I get into this, I am looking miserable a lot here but I guess I was so focused on the hair in the pics, I forgot to smile!

Braid Removal: A Pictorial

I can’t even remember when I actually had these particular braids in. But when I was looking through the blog for ideas I came across these photos saved in the gallery. So we are going to just go with that! My hair is currently in mini twists. It’s low maintenance and when I swish my head side to side, my hair comes with me. It’s a nice feeling that people with straight or loose curls most likely take for granted. I have the movement of box braids without the weight and hassle but then again I don’t have the length!…
