I have Type 4 Hair. I used to think 4C but now I’m not so sure. What I would say is that I have the 4 and maybe a little 3, I don’t know. I’m not sure. I don’t really care.

It doesn’t look like much but two strand twists are honestly the way forward for me.

Just a quick update on my product hoard. I have added to it but I had to? Yes, that is supposed to be a question 😂 and yes I used the cry laugh emoji because I am that old!

I’ve been battling the detangling demons with my kids for a while, specifically with my eldest. We’ve found our groove, moving from protective style to protective style. It’s been great. She’s even taking some responsibility for her hair. It seems that I’m clearly heavy handed because she brushes her hair just fine by herself. Not as thorough as me but she’s only 8. HOWEVER…

So it was a bit optimistic to think that I would be able to do a blog post about my wash days every few weeks. Yea…no, that’s not going to happen. This feature will definitely be a once in a while sort of thing. But this one is kind of special. Because I’m using generic shampoo and conditioner, or more specifically, gift set Shampoo and Conditioner. Extra special due to it’s mundanity. Enter Baylis & Harding. Who else gets these gift sets every Christmas? 🎅🏾🎄🎅🏾

By the time this post goes live, I will have been blogging for over 4 years. That’s a long time and it has flown by so fast, especially this last year. I was at a bit of a loose end with blog stuff so I decided to read some old posts. First thing to note, my intention was to re-read, edit, spruce up all of my blog to date. Hopefully you’ve found yourself here from Part 1, if not, head on back! To recap, I like to mash up products that aren’t working for me. Or that I just want to get rid of but feel they need a little extra oomph from products I actually like. And that’s how I ended up mixing up these random things.

I don’t like nuts unless they’re chocolate covered. I’m a woman of simple tastes. But I learnt very early on in my healthy hair journey that when it comes to oils and nuts, Almond (or more specifically, Sweet Almond) is a super oil. Also, apparently, Almonds aren’t actually nuts? Who knew?!
