I can’t even remember when I actually had these particular braids in. But when I was looking through the blog for ideas I came across these photos saved in the gallery. I’ve recently started doing product reviews again in earnest after quite a substantial gap. The last one was last month, the one before that was December 2018. I’ll try my best to recall all the pertinent facts about the Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla range. I’ve been trying it over the last year and a bit. I know crazy right, who can make a product last that long? Well it’s mainly the shampoo that’s stood the test of time because we’re a co-washing household and I get distracted by other products almost constantly.

Have you heard of EDEN BodyWorks before? The first time I remember coming across them was in a picture of Farouk James surrounded by their products. And I thought wow! If those products contributed even just 1% to how amazing his hair looks, then surely in the quest of finding my Holy Grail products, they were worth a go!

Have you heard of British Curlies? Well, if you haven’t it’s unfortunately too late. They’ve closed down. So I made the most of that and got myself some goodies. I don’t know if by the time this post is published whether the shop will still have stock but give it a go – Shop British Curlies.

I am a product junkie, I admit it. I think I’ve said it a few times on this blog, Instagram, Twitter, pretty much anywhere I get the chance to. But I have to say I was very reserved on our recent family trip to Florida. As we all know, SheaMoisture is one of the largest natural hair care brands in the world even after their recent marketing missteps. If you cannot be bothered to read ingredients lists or are just looking for a brand that is more likely than not suitable for a healthy hair journey then I would say they are a good place to start.
