It’s so hard these days to dedicate a whole post to one product the way I used to, so I don’t anymore ๐. Here’s a rundown of my first impressions of a few random products I’ve tried since I started my blog and this healthy hair journey way back in November 2016.

Chunky Twists: My Go-To 2020/21
It doesn’t look like much but two strand twists are honestly the way forward for me.
DIY: Almond Butter Hair Mask
Almonds are good for your hair. I wrote about some benefits not too long ago. Many haircare products that you buy contain Almond Oil. But what about Almond Butter? I knew it existed so why weren’t the hair community making a fuss about it. Soon after that thought, Iย went onto Google set out on a mission to find a way to incorporate this version of Almond into my routine. I found an Almond Butter recipe a few years ago. It seemed legit, so whenย I saw Almond Butter for sale a few weeks later at Aldi or Lidl AND on…
Not A Length Check: 4 Years 3 Months
I’ve committed to not measuring my hair anymore. It’s unnecessary pressure. Unnecessary expectation. It’s just not really important.
Wash Day Notes: Sometime From October 2020
So it was a bit optimistic to think that I would be able to do a blog post about my wash days every few weeks. Yea…no, that’s not going to happen. This feature will definitely be a once in a while sort of thing. But this one is kind of special. Because I’m using generic shampoo and conditioner, or more specifically, gift set Shampoo and Conditioner. Extra special due to it’s mundanity. Enter Baylis & Harding. Who else gets these gift sets every Christmas? ๐ ๐พ๐๐ ๐พ
#hairgoals 2
I did my first one of these posts in May 2017. Wow! I’ve been at this hair journey and blogging thing for a while. In the time since that last post, I’ve found more and more curly, coily and kinky sources of inspiration for me and my kids.
Ending My Product Junkie Ways?
Damn! That picture is really saying a thousand words with those thousand products! Okay, so there aren’t a thousand products there but I dread to think how much money is just lying on my bed! Hi, my name is Lee and I am a product junkie. But I don’t want to be anymore.
Length Check – 4 Years!!!!!
Four whole years. Four whole years. FOUR WHOLE YEARS. I could keep saying it but it still wouldn’t sound real. I’ve committed to something for four whole years. And I’m still enjoying it (on the most part). And I’m finding success (even though I’ve redefined what that is a few times). But whew, four whole years. Type 4 hair is no joke!
SPOTLIGHT: Almonds
I don’t like nuts unless they’re chocolate covered. I’m a woman of simple tastes. But I learnt very early on in my healthy hair journey that when it comes to oils and nuts, Almond (or more specifically, Sweet Almond) is a super oil. Also, apparently, Almonds aren’t actually nuts? Who knew?!
Products I’ve Used, But Will I Buy Again? : A – Z
Last updated: 10 April 2021 I assume you’ve found your way here from my Holy Grails page or the post I’ve just done to update it. I created this A – Z list because I like lists. A lot. But also because I need to keep track of what I’ve actually tried. There’s so much here that, without this list, I could easily buy something I’ve bought before as I have the tendency of making purchases without really thinking them through. And for you guys, this is a quick link to all the relevant reviews and a quick guide to…
