The braids are in. You could be fooled into thinking your job is done. That’s what I used to think. But I know better now. You need to love your hair if your fro is out and free BUT also if it is tightly tucked away.

So Sunday treat again. Face mask time!! This one had a bit of an odd smell to me. Maybe it was the Argan Oil but I wasn’t feeling it. It dried really quickly which was great because I wanted it off. It did tighten very quickly and I find that these creamy type masks do seem to do that, the ones from this range anyway. Argan Oil is great for softening skin and has a lot of Vitamin E in which is great for moisturising, I definitely need that. I have tried it in my hair but I don’t think…

You need to drink water. You are made mostly of water. It doesn’t really taste of anything so it shouldn’t be hard to get your fill. Right?

You will have noticed I started telling you about this Clay Wash Day last week (head on back over if you’d like) but here’s the best bit…what it looked like after all the clays were washed out. It’s my favourite bit anyway!

So it was a bit optimistic to think that I would be able to do a blog post about my wash days every few weeks. Yea…no, that’s not going to happen. This feature will definitely be a once in a while sort of thing. But this one is kind of special. Because I’m using generic shampoo and conditioner, or more specifically, gift set Shampoo and Conditioner. Extra special due to it’s mundanity. Enter Baylis & Harding. Who else gets these gift sets every Christmas? 🎅🏾🎄🎅🏾

The best deodorant I ever used was Mitchum Deodorant but that has aluminium in and some of the things people say about that particular ingredient are kind of scary, like actual real life scary not just I’m afraid of ponging a little bit scary. So although some of the claims are not fully substantiated, if I can go natural and not have to worry about that at all, surely that’s the better option. Enter nuud. nuud kept popping up on my timeline and after a little research I thought I’d give it a go.

I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos of late. A lot! I think I may be slightly obsessed. The amount of natural hair and skincare content is overwhelming and amazing at the same time. Such things as how other people have grown their type 4 hair long. Turmeric Masks for hyperpigmentation. Reviews of products Instagram shoves down your throat like – Nuud deodorant and EZ Detangler brushes. Plus, general YouTube tea and drama.
