Compliments are like a drug. I would say that I don’t get that many compliments but it’s more likely that I don’t hear them when I get them. But I definitely heard them when I had this purple hair.
It’s been about 9 months since I posted my 30 hairstyles challenge on Instagram and first braiding posts here on the blog. It’s about time to throwback to November 2017. I’m sure it’s been long enough. I was very proud of how it came it out but it wasn’t perfect. Nothing is and that’s okay. Because I’m not perfect or any type of model, there were a hell of a lot of pictures taken, trying to find “The One” (x30). I styled myself (obviously) and directed the shoot i.e. told my husband what to do while he ignored me and took all…
The braids are in. You could be fooled into thinking your job is done. That’s what I used to think. But I know better now. You need to love your hair if your fro is out and free BUT also if it is tightly tucked away.

Have you had box braids/ plaits/ extensions before? I have and I love them. I’ve missed them so much. And now my hair is long enough for me to give my old favourite go-to a go.
So it wasn’t all a really weird dream. I did take a razor to my head yesterday and shave all my hair off. Oops! To add insult to injury, today I awoke to the first frost of the year. My cousin did say that I should probably wait to lop it all off until Spring but stubborn me decided to stick to my arbitrary deadline and it is soooooo cold! It has made me question if my goal to have tailbone/ bum length hair is realistic and whether I can stay motivated for the 5 years plus that it will…
