End Of Tub Review: Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Smoothing Shampoo

I’ll keep this short and sweet because I’m pretty much over shampoo at this point. In fact, I don’t really need it.To put this in perspective, the only reason I’m on to my second bottle of the Palmer’s Olive Oil Smoothing Shampoo is because I have gremlins in my bathroom that use my products without asking! I am naming no names…

End Of Tube Review: Mitchum Deodorant & Antiperspirant

I don’t think I smell but I can get paranoid about it. Especially in the summer or on the rare occasion I go out. And I don’t mean out of the house, I mean “out, out!” You want to feel fresh, confident and unworried. I know it’s not as sexy as the newest super face mask doing the rounds on social media or a Northern Lights inspired highlighter but we all sweat. Deal with it!

Pettiest Peeves #1

I am not an angry person, I swear, but some s**t just gets on my wick! For those that need a translation, on my nerves, pushes my buttons, irks me etc. You get the picture. And because I’m in a sharing mood, I thought I’d tell you all about them and when I’m done why don’t you finish the ranting by telling me what your pet peeves are.

Song Of The Month – March 2018 – Stay by Zedd & Alessia Cara

LINK TO THE VIDEO I have to say there is something a little different about Zedd’s take on dance music. From collabs with Hayley Williams to Foxes, it’s clear that he focuses on the song and not just the beat. Which is why this collab works so well! I love Alessia Cara’s voice and I played a few of her songs to the kids but the boys couldn’t care less (their loss) and this was the one that my daughter latched onto the most. We love it, this is our song. As soon as the video starts, she knows what…

Whipping It Up: Shea Butter

I’m all for DIYing my way to super long, healthy, luscious locks but honestly the initial outlay in getting all the ingredients you need to make your own products can be a little scary. You look at a little essential oil bottle and can’t believe you’re spending £3, £5, even up to £10 on 10 ml of anything. And that’s before you start looking at the exotic stuff.

End Of The Range Review: Soap & Glory (Part 1)

A few days after starting the Soap & Glory product range in early July, I got ID’ed for a scratchcard…twice. I didn’t have my driving licence so I walked away from the till, embarrassed and robbed of my almost definite winning scratchcards. Needless to say I haven’t tried buying a card since but I attribute this recent change in how people view my age 100% down to this range of products…haha, not quite! But it’s quite the curious coincidence.

Twist Fail: Last Night A Beanie Saved My Life

This is my first official twisting of my hair since I shaved it all off in November 2016. I say official, because I have twisted it as a way to section my hair before braiding a couple of times. But this was the first time it was the intended style. Although it took me a little getting used to, I really liked it! I liked how it felt to run my hand through my hair. And it also felt great knowing that this protective style was going to keep my hair moisturised and well looked after for at least a couple…

Length Check – 1 Year 3 Months

It’s been well over a year since I chose to go bald. I have hit  the milestone of 1 whole year and 3 months. And I’m not bored of this whole healthy hair blogging thing. That’s a long time. But also really short in the context of me being on a journey to tailbone length hair. And yes, I am still aiming for that ridiculous and lofty goal. I’m expecting to get there by 2025, give or take a year. I’d be happy for it to happen at some point this millennia if I’m honest.
