As you know, I’m having a moratorium on buying new products from November 2020 to the end of 2021. But I couldn’t go out without a couple of splurges from my September and October pay days. I am a product junkie after all! And by the way, ew, “splurges” is such a gross word!

If you’re one of those TL;DR people, I love this brush and I love this conditioner. But if you’re not, sorry for the spoilers but please do read on to find out more about how MUCH I love Felicia Leatherwood’s Detangler Brush and the Maui Moisture Agave Conditioner for Chemically Damaged Hair.
SPOTLIGHT: Almonds
I don’t like nuts unless they’re chocolate covered. I’m a woman of simple tastes. But I learnt very early on in my healthy hair journey that when it comes to oils and nuts, Almond (or more specifically, Sweet Almond) is a super oil. Also, apparently, Almonds aren’t actually nuts? Who knew?!
Products I’ve Used, But Will I Buy Again? : A – Z
Last updated: 10 April 2021 I assume you’ve found your way here from my Holy Grails page or the post I’ve just done to update it. I created this A – Z list because I like lists. A lot. But also because I need to keep track of what I’ve actually tried. There’s so much here that, without this list, I could easily buy something I’ve bought before as I have the tendency of making purchases without really thinking them through. Length Check: 3 Years 9 Months
As I said on Instagram, I look tired in this photo but this is with a filter on. With a filter on, ladies and gentlemen! This is real life and real life is under eye bags, dull skin and a general sense of malaise. But ooo, doesn’t my hair look good!
Song Of The Month – August 2020 – King by Years and Years
LINK TO THE VIDEO This is probably the most modern song I’ve added to the playlist for a while.
Length Check: 3 Years And 3 Months
I shaved my head not long before my youngest kid turned one. My biggest regret on my healthy hair journey was not shaving it when he was born. New kid, no hair, fresh start. Then I could have tracked my hair growth alongside his. But as regrets go in life, that’s pretty minor.
Medical Stuff: First ECG
Well that was a post title I didn’t think I’d be writing. But I guess what this is all about before I get into it, is to look after yourself but more importantly listen to yourself. I’m just documenting my little “health scare.” I’m glad of a positive outcome because it’s quite easy to get freaked out when you start getting chest pains and are immediately sent for your first ECG.
