Review: Afro Hair Solutions Scalp Reviver Mask

I’ve always said the biggest and best things come in small packages but you’ve got to big yourself up when you’re only about 5 foot 4. So when this little tin of Afro Hair Solutions Scalp Reviver Mask came through the door from Detangled Hair, I hoped that this would once again be the case.

End Of The Bottle Review: Palmer’s Manuka Flower Honey Nourishing Conditioner

This stuff smells delightful. Smell is very important to me when it comes to the products I put on my hair and skin. I suppose after the visual of the product, the smell is the next way you experience it. If it smells bad, it will psychologically affect how you experience the product. You’re not going to enjoy something that smells awful as it touches your hair and skin. This smells great so when it says nourishing, you expect it to be really good for your hair. Well let’s see how that pans out.

End Of The Tub Review: SheaMoisture Superfruit 10-In-1 Renewal System Conditioner and Hair Masque

As we all know, SheaMoisture is one of the largest natural hair care brands in the world even after their recent marketing missteps. If you cannot be bothered to read ingredients lists or are just looking for a brand that is more likely than not suitable for a healthy hair journey then I would say they are a good place to start. I know there is talk that some of their formulations have been watered down and altered but they do promise to not contain sulphates, parabens, mineral oil, paraffin and some of the other healthy hair care big bads.…

End Of Tub Review: As I Am Coconut CoWash – Cleansing Cream Conditioner

This is a product that my lovely mother bought for me on one of her trips to the US. She’s been there a few times in the last couple of years without me, may I add, no bitterness…at all. I was so excited to crack this open would be an understatement. There are lots of products in lots of lists of the best conditioner, the best co-wash, this and that. I don’t want to be guided by others on MY journey of discovery. I couldn’t ignore all the positive reviews of this product. And the fact that my Mum paid…

End Of The Range Review: Boots Botanics

I have decided to take skin care a little more seriously as you may have seen by a couple of my facemask reviews here, here and here. But a facemask does not make a skin care routine, it is but one essential part. If you actually read the back of products they always say they are best used with other products within the same range and whether that’s true or not, in my newness to taking this seriously, I decided to buy a set of products from the same range, the Boots Botanics All Bright range to be precise. I…

End Of The Bottle Review: Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk Cleansing Conditioner

One of the things I told myself when I started this blog and shaved all my hair off was to not to be afraid to use different products, to trial as much as I could and feed my curiosity. It’s a good thing that I enjoy it so much as I’m always excited to try something new and see how my hair or my kid’s hair reacts. The first use of this was a bit of a disaster. I put my littlest baby in the bath, opened the conditioner ready to go and put it on the radiator while the…

End Of Sachet Review: 7th Heaven Strawberry Souffle Face Mask

I will start by telling you that I had high hopes for this mask. It sounds great, Strawberry Souffle, yum. It makes you think of strawberries obviously (high in vitamin C, acidic so helpful with scars and great for tightening pores – see here for more) but the souffle part had me thinking I might have a cheeky little lick of my upper lip while it dried. I didn’t, I promise, because this is not food but it does smell good enough to eat. It has an extremely thick consistency, like cream cheess almost. This makes applying it very easy…
