*REPOST* End Of Bottle Review: Palmer’s Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioners

***This is my blog’s most viewed post and unsurprisingly it is one of my favourite products on my journey so far. I’m in a bit of a blogging slump, possibly because I know I’ll be taking some time off in a few weeks and my mind is already ready to shut down. But while I’m finding my way again, I thought I’d repost the post that keeps me going. It literally makes up about 20% of my total views at the moment! So if you’ve not read this post yet, give it a go. It’s a really good one, even…

End Of The Range Review: YourGoodSkin

I wasn’t in the market for more skin care products or any products at all. I’m a product junkie and I’ve pretty much filled my shelf in the bathroom. And spilled onto the other shelf. And in another cupboard too. Not to mention the products that are out because I’m actually using them. They are everywhere, down the side of the sofa, on windowsills, even in the fridge. So the only thing to do would be…to buy more obviously. In steps YourGoodSkin.

Length Check – 1 Year 3 Months

It’s been well over a year since I chose to go bald. I have hit  the milestone of 1 whole year and 3 months. And I’m not bored of this whole healthy hair blogging thing. That’s a long time. But also really short in the context of me being on a journey to tailbone length hair. And yes, I am still aiming for that ridiculous and lofty goal. I’m expecting to get there by 2025, give or take a year. I’d be happy for it to happen at some point this millennia if I’m honest.

Cheap Lotion, Like Really Cheap, Like Super Cheap

I had run out of my recent favourite lotion, the Garnier Body – Beauty Oil-Infused Nourishing Lotion and was on the hunt to find it again. But do you know that really irritating scenario where you go to the shelf and the label is there but the product isn’t? I didn’t have a long lunch break and couldn’t really be running around and then I saw this big white tub. Xpel Body Care? Never heard of it. Olive Oil Cream? Olive Oil is good for your hair and skin. 500ml for £1? I couldn’t help myself. And if I can give cheap…

Holy Grail

Last Updated: 9 April 2021 The reason why anyone becomes a product junkie, in my opinion, is because you’re looking for the elusive Holy Grail of products. The one that you know works time and time again without fail. The one you tell your friends and family about. And the one you force on your friends and family because they didn’t listen to you and you need them to know how great it is. Their hair and skin deserves the same happiness as yours. The Holy Grail however is elusive. And unless you’re lucky to get it right on your…

Progress Check – September 2017

If you saw my last post you’ll know that I started a little craft project up in my hair. I’m still not sure how I feel about that but it’s all in aid of getting a head full of good, healthy hair. Progress is key, no matter how small. I will have to come to terms with the fact that in order for me to get to my desired length (#journeytotailbonelength), I will need to lose some hair. Anyway, there have been other goings on in the journey from being Woeful and getting to FroFull. Here’s the rundown…

End Of Bottle Review: Palmer’s Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioners

When I decided to buy my first co-wash I had no idea what I was doing. In the UK, you can’t just walk into your local supermarket and buy hair products specifically for black hair/ kinky hair. You might find curly hair products if you’re lucky and if you do, the selection is small. My usual place to buy products for hair, skin or beauty is Boots and they had none. My next choice was Superdrug and in store they had nothing.

End of Tube Review: Palmer’s Olive Oil Repleneshing Conditioner

The Palmer’s Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner was one of my first purchases when I decided I was going to be serious about having a new attitude to my hair. I can’t remember exactly when I bought this but I know it was a few months before I shaved my head. I know this because I was itching to use it for at least a few months but I knew I should save it until I started the journey. Finally, after I let the razor loose, I used it for the first time. Now I can’t really give you my first…

You Can Learn Almost Everything From Pinterest

I had long blue extensions on the day I got married. I used the full pack of Kanekalon extensions without cutting them so they pretty much touched my bum. That’s what I want my actual hair to be like. I know this journey to tailbone length will be difficult but I really want it! It almost feels silly saying it aloud but I really, really want my own long hair (which I will probably turn blue at some point, weakening and destroying all my hard work blah, blah, blah…but I want it!) In the preparation to start my journey I…
