Song Of The Month – October 2018 – The Way I Am By Eminem

LINK TO THE VIDEO Do you remember that time when Eminem was literally the most important person in whole entire world of music? I even bought Angry Blonde which was a book about his songs, the lyrics, the inspirations. I loved him but I had friends that were obsessed with him. The way these young whipper snappers are obsessed with One Direction, Fifth Harmony, Taylor Swift and even Queen Bey. I bet if we had Twitter then, they would have been hardcore trolls for him, haha, thank goodness for growing up in the Dark Ages! Follow me on YouTube to…

I Think I Am My (Synthetic) Hair…

Compliments are like a drug. I would say that I don’t get that many compliments but it’s more likely that I don’t hear them when I get them. But I definitely heard them when I had this purple hair.

Was The Social Media Break Worth It?

I said a Temporary Goodbye to this blog on the 20th July 2018 while I went on my first big family holiday with my kids (which ticked off a place on my travel bucket list) and had a much-needed social media break. The hope was that I would rejuvenate myself while being scared of FOMO and potentially losing some of my inspiration, passion and motivation for the blog.

Song Of The Month – September 2018 – Crawling By Linkin Park

LINK TO THE VIDEO Last year, the lead singer of Linkin Park died and I had an immense feeling of grief, especially for his children, I realised that I hadn’t listened to one of my all time favourite albums, Hybrid Theory, for years. It got me through those awkward teenage years, gave me a feeling of belonging to something. The album will never sound the same again. When it first came out and for a significant amount of time after, it was literally the only album that I owned where I could listen to every single song without having to…

Glasses Direct: Buying Glasses Online

Ordering glasses online can be quite a daunting prospect if you’ve not done it before. Part of the experience of getting your eyes tested and then buying glasses is the trying on the specs in the shop, figuring out what works best on your face, checking it fits, what colours complement your skjn and which frames complement your purse. And although almost every other transaction translates to the online world, does this?

Pettiest Peeves #3

I’m actually feeling moments of relief whenever I start getting these Pet Peeves off my chest. In my last Pet Peeve post, Pettiest Peeves (Part 2) I left off with hand dryers that don’t actually dry your hands. So here we are going into number 12. Oh, don’t worry, I will keep them coming.

Song Of The Month – August 2018 – I Write Sins Not Tragedies By Panic! At The Disco

LINK TO THE VIDEO This a complete throwback of me from a different time. I remember I went through a phase of mild emo-ness. I loved it. I had a friend at school that used to write song lyrics down on paper and pass them to me in class. For ages, I thought she was some sort of philosophical poetical marvel! Turns out she was just sending me Papa Roach and Incubus lyrics. It made me realise that I wasn’t paying attention to lyrics as much as I should have! And although she never sent me this song because I’ve…
