So it was a bit optimistic to think that I would be able to do a blog post about my wash days every few weeks. Yea…no, that’s not going to happen. This feature will definitely be a once in a while sort of thing. But this one is kind of special. Because I’m using generic shampoo and conditioner, or more specifically, gift set Shampoo and Conditioner. Extra special due to it’s mundanity. Enter Baylis & Harding. Who else gets these gift sets every Christmas? 🎅🏾🎄🎅🏾
The best deodorant I ever used was Mitchum Deodorant but that has aluminium in and some of the things people say about that particular ingredient are kind of scary, like actual real life scary not just I’m afraid of ponging a little bit scary. So although some of the claims are not fully substantiated, if I can go natural and not have to worry about that at all, surely that’s the better option. Enter nuud. nuud kept popping up on my timeline and after a little research I thought I’d give it a go.
When I was about 17 or 18, I said to myself, “when I turn 30, I’m going to start buying Oil of Ulay, so I stay looking young.” I will always remember it as Ulay, you will not sway me. I thought that thirty would be a good time to start caring about how old my skin looked. Because when you’re 18, 30 seems old. When I actually turned 30, I did not do this.

I did my first one of these posts in May 2017. Wow! I’ve been at this hair journey and blogging thing for a while. In the time since that last post, I’ve found more and more curly, coily and kinky sources of inspiration for me and my kids.
By the time this post goes live, I will have been blogging for over 4 years. That’s a long time and it has flown by so fast, especially this last year. I was at a bit of a loose end with blog stuff so I decided to read some old posts. First thing to note, my intention was to re-read, edit, spruce up all of my blog to date. At the time of writing this, that would have been 46 months worth of blog content. In reality, that was a much bigger task than I could’ve anticipated. Way, way bigger!…
It’s occurred to me that this post is being scheduled so close to Christmas, so any family or friends if you’re reading this, I will still accept new products as presents.
I’m trying my best to stop being a product junkie. I’ve spent a long time wearing this title as a badge of honour. Like I’m really doing something other than bankrupting myself.
